Associate Prof. Chan Sodara M.D., MSc

Associate Prof. Chan Sodara has more than 22-year experience as a public health professional, developing, managing, implementing, and providing technical supports to reproductive health, FP, HIV programs and health system. He has contributed to improving Cambodia health systems through capacity building in the areas of HIV/AIDS and family health programs, and health systems. He conducted and contributed many health system research projects in Cambodia such as Evaluation the Improving Sexual Reproductive Health Project for MSM in Cambodia 2011, Assessment of Emergency Maternal and Newborn Care in Cambodia 2008, Accident and Injury Survey 2007, Evaluation of the Health System Management Training 2006, Health Facility Assessment 2003, etc. He holds a Medical Doctor from the Faculty of Medicine in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and holds the MSc in Epidemiology from the University of the Philippines Manila. He is now lecturing the courses of Basic Epidemiology, Qualitative Methods in Health Research, Computer Application in Microsoft office tools and the Referencing using Endnote, and Disease Surveillance and Outbreak Investigation.
